The basis for the system is a screw with conical head that creates a smooth, almost homogeneous surface with the wear plate, resulting in an even wear, without the recesses and irregularities that normally cause the plate to wear prematurely.
The choice of cutting technique and material prevents the screw from rotating in the hole and facilitates the tightening of the screw from the nut side. WRC System® extends the wear life of the plate and generates economic and environmental gains, for both us and the customer.
The unique fastening technology for protective wear plates, which combines the conical screw head with water cut wear plates, is called WRC, Wear Resistant Cone System, and is intended for surfaces which are exposed to heavy wear during different types of rock transports. Through WRC System® it is possible to use any steel quality at the right price. When wear is distributed more evenly, the plate lasts longer and service intervals can be planned more accurately.
WRC System® is compatible with all types of machinery, e.g. trucks, dumpers, loaders, excavators etc. and offers many benefits. It is for example possible to replace one or more plates without welding. Easier plate change outs means that thinner plates can be used, resulting in reduced tare weights and increased payloads.
WRC System ® (Wear Resistant Cone System) is a system for fastening and handling wear plate, developed and patented by LKAB Mekaniska.
